Korea's software education will be introduced to elementary schools from 2019 this year by the 2015 revised curriculum. As a result, a total of six textbooks have been developed that can be used at the school site. However, there is an opinion that software education in elementary school is limited to 17th grade in 6th grade textbooks and textbooks, limiting the ultimate goal of computing thinking. In addition, there is a possibility that the elementary school teachers will be transformed into education for raising technical skills because they are more likely to take classes based on textbooks. On the other hand, in the United States, federal and local schools are recognized as part of STEAM and career / vocational education and are promoting convergence with the regular curriculum. Therefore, this study developed a coding - based maker education program to solve the limited time of software education in Korea and limitations of textbook - based education.
